This Tiramisu Cake combines the richness of traditional tiramisu with a visually stunning presentation. A delicate sponge base is layered with creamy mascarpone filling and dusted with cocoa powder, giving it the signature tiramisu flavor. Coconut flakes around the sides add a twist to the classic dessert, making it both visually appealing and delicious!
Ingredients:
- 1 package of ladyfinger biscuits (savoiardi)
- 250g mascarpone cheese
- 200ml heavy cream
- 1 cup strong coffee, cooled
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Coconut flakes (for decoration)
- Fresh mint leaves (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Cream Layer:
- In a bowl, whisk the mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla extract together until smooth and creamy. Set aside.
- Soak the Ladyfingers:
- In a shallow dish, pour the cooled coffee. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee, making sure it doesn’t get too soggy. Arrange the soaked ladyfingers in a round cake pan, forming the base layer.
- Layer the Cake:
- Spread half of the mascarpone cream mixture over the soaked ladyfingers, smoothing it evenly. Then, dip more ladyfingers in coffee and arrange them on top of the cream layer.
- Final Layer:
- Add the remaining mascarpone cream over the second layer of ladyfingers. Smooth it out to cover the entire surface.
- Decorate:
- Sift cocoa powder over the top of the cake to create a smooth, chocolatey layer. Sprinkle coconut flakes around the edge of the cake for added texture and flavor.
- Chill and Serve:
- Refrigerate the cake for at least 4 hours, or overnight if possible, to allow the flavors to meld and the cake to set.
- Before serving, garnish with fresh mint leaves on top for a final touch of color and freshness.
Enjoy your homemade Tiramisu Cake, a perfect treat for any occasion!
