Crispy Stuffed Cheese Ring (with Pickles)
📝 Ingredients
For the Filling:
- 300 g (10 oz) cream cheese
- 200 g (7 oz) shredded mozzarella
- 100 g (3.5 oz) shredded cheddar
- 2–3 pickles, finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp chopped green onions
- Salt & black pepper to taste
For the Coating:
- 2 cups crushed cornflakes or breadcrumbs
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup flour
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp garlic powder
For Frying:
- Vegetable oil
Topping (optional like in image):
- Extra melted cheddar
- Chopped nuts or seeds
- Green onions
👩🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Prepare the Filling
Mix:
- Cream cheese
- Mozzarella
- Cheddar
- Pickles
- Garlic
- Green onions
- Salt & pepper
Chill in fridge 20–30 minutes until firm.
2️⃣ Shape the Ring
- Place mixture into a ring mold or bowl with a hole in the center.
- Freeze for 45–60 minutes so it becomes firm.
3️⃣ Bread the Ring
- Dip into flour
- Then eggs
- Then crushed cornflakes/breadcrumbs
- Repeat egg + crumbs for extra crispiness.
4️⃣ Fry
- Heat oil on medium heat
- Fry carefully until golden brown on all sides
- Drain on paper towels
5️⃣ Decorate
- Drizzle with melted cheddar
- Sprinkle with chopped seeds & green onions
