Crispy Cheesy Potato Bites (Just Like the Photo!)

Golden, crispy on the outside and irresistibly melty inside—these are perfect as a snack, appetizer, or side dish!

Ingredients

  • 3 large potatoes (boiled & mashed)
  • 1 cup mozzarella or stretchy cheese (cubed or shredded)
  • ½ cup grated cheddar (optional, for extra flavor)
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Prepare the potato dough
    In a bowl, mix mashed potatoes, egg, flour, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Form the bites
    Take a spoonful of mixture, flatten it slightly, add cheese in the center, and seal into a thick round patty.
  3. Chill for best shape (optional but recommended)
    Place in fridge for 15–20 minutes so they hold better while frying.
  4. Fry until golden
    Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry each side for 3–4 minutes until crispy and deep golden brown.
  5. Finish & serve
    Garnish with parsley and serve hot with ketchup, garlic sauce, or sour cream.

  • Add chopped bacon or chicken bits inside
  • Mix in onion & herbs for more flavor
  • Air-fryer: 180°C (350°F) for 12–15 minutes (spray with oil)
