Crispy Cheese and Cranberry Jam Rolls

Introduction:
These crispy, gooey pastry rolls filled with cheese and cranberry jam are a perfect balance of savory and sweet. A delicious treat for breakfast, brunch, or as a snack, these rolls are sure to be a hit at any table!

Ingredients:

  • 4 sheets of puff pastry
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1/4 cup cranberry jam
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheets and cut them into rectangles or squares.
  3. Spread a thin layer of cream cheese on each pastry sheet.
  4. Add a spoonful of shredded cheese on top of the cream cheese.
  5. Add a small spoonful of cranberry jam over the cheese mixture.
  6. Roll up the pastries tightly into small cylinders or logs.
  7. Brush the edges of the rolls with a little beaten egg to seal them.
  8. Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden and crispy.
  10. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.
  11. Dust with powdered sugar and serve with extra cranberry jam on the side. Enjoy!
