AIR FRYER LAMB CHOP

Classic Garlic & Rosemary Air Fryer Lamb Chops

This is the quintessential flavor combination for lamb.

Ingredients:

· 8-12 lamb loin chops (about 1 to 1.5 inches thick)
· 2 tbsp olive oil
· 4 cloves garlic, minced
· 1 tbsp fresh rosemary, finely chopped (or 1 tsp dried)
· 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves (or ½ tsp dried)
· Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
· (Optional) Squeeze of lemon juice after cooking

Instructions:

1. Prep the Chops: Pat the lamb chops completely dry with paper towels. This is crucial for getting a good sear.
2. Season: In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, minced garlic, rosemary, thyme, salt, and pepper. Rub this mixture evenly all over the lamb chops. Let them sit at room temperature for 20-30 minutes to marinate slightly.
3. Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3-5 minutes. Preheating helps with the sear.
4. Cook: Place the lamb chops in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they aren’t touching. You may need to cook in batches.
5. Air Fry:
· For medium-rare (pink and juicy): Cook for 6-8 minutes.
· For medium: Cook for 8-10 minutes.
· For well-done: Cook for 10-12 minutes.
· Flip halfway through the cooking time for even browning.
6. Check Temperature: For perfect results, use a meat thermometer. The internal temperature should be:
· Medium-Rare: 145°F (63°C)
· Medium: 160°F (71°C)
· Well-Done: 170°F (77°C)
7. Rest: Transfer the lamb chops to a plate, tent loosely with foil, and let them rest for 5 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute, resulting in a more tender chop.
8. Serve: Squeeze a little fresh lemon juice over the top and serve immediately.
