Ingredients:1 pound ground beef1/4 cup breadcrumbs1 egg1/4 cup minced onion1 teaspoon salt1/4 teaspoon pepper2 tablespoons butter1 onion, sliced2 cloves garlic, minced1 can 10.75 oz cream of mushroom soup1/4 cup water2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauceInstructions:In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, minced onion, salt, and pepper. Mix well and shape into 4 patties.In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and minced garlic, and cook until softened.Add the cream of mushroom soup, water, and Worcestershire sauce to the skillet. Stir to combine.Place the beef patties in the skillet and spoon some of the sauce over them.Bring the sauce to a simmer and reduce the heat to low. Cover the skillet and simmer for about 20 minutes, or until the beef patties are cooked through.Serve the smothered hamburger steaks over rice or mashed potatoesEnjoy!
