CRISPY CHICKEN STRIPS

Introduction

These homemade crispy chicken tenders are golden on the outside and juicy on the inside—just like your favorite fast-food version, but even better! Perfect for lunch, dinner, or snacks, they’re easy to make with simple ingredients.

🛒 Ingredients

  • 500 g chicken breast (cut into strips)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (or crushed cornflakes for extra crunch)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Oil for frying

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Prepare the chicken

Cut chicken breasts into long strips. Pat dry with paper towels.

2. Season

Season the chicken with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.

3. Set up coating station

Prepare 3 bowls:

  • Bowl 1: flour
  • Bowl 2: beaten eggs
  • Bowl 3: breadcrumbs or crushed cornflakes

4. Coat the chicken

Dip each strip:

  1. In flour
  2. Then in egg
  3. Finally in breadcrumbs

Press gently so the coating sticks well.

5. Fry

Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.

Fry chicken strips for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.

6. Drain

Remove and place on paper towels to absorb excess oil.

  • Serve with ketchup, mayonnaise, or garlic sauce
  • Add lemon wedges for freshness
  • Pair with fries or salad

💡 Tips for Extra Crispiness

  • Use cornflakes instead of breadcrumbs
  • Double coat (egg → crumbs → egg → crumbs)
  • Don’t overcrowd the pan

🥗 Optional Oven Version

Bake at 200°C (400°F) for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway.
