- 250 g all-purpose flour (about 2 cups)
- 125 g unsalted butter, soft
- 80 g powdered sugar (â…” cup)

- Cream butter & sugar
In a bowl, beat the soft butter with powdered sugar until pale and creamy. - Add egg & vanilla
Mix in the egg and vanilla until smooth. - Combine dry ingredients
In another bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt. Add gradually to the wet mixture. - Make the dough
Mix gently until a soft, non-sticky dough forms. If needed, add 1–2 tbsp flour. - Shape
Take small portions, roll into logs, and cut into short pillow-shaped pieces (like the photo). - Coat with sugar
Lightly roll each piece in powdered sugar. - Bake
Place on a lined baking tray.
Bake at 170°C (340°F) for 12–15 minutes.
👉 They should stay pale on top with a lightly golden bottom. - Cool
Let cool completely—they’ll firm up slightly but stay very soft inside.
