🧄🧀 Garlic Parmesan Fries (Crispy & Flavorful)

These fries look golden, crispy, and generously coated with Parmesan and herbs—just like the image. They’re perfect as a snack, side dish, or café-style appetizer.

📝 Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes (russet or any frying potato)
  • 3–4 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely minced (or 1 tsp garlic powder)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ tsp salt (or to taste)
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp paprika (optional)
  • 1–2 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • Optional: chili flakes for heat

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Prepare the Potatoes
Wash and peel (optional) the potatoes. Cut into thin fries.
Soak in cold water for 20–30 minutes (this helps make them crispy).
    Drain and pat completely dry.
  2. Season
In a large bowl, toss the fries with olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika until evenly coated.
  3. Bake or Fry
    • Oven method (healthier):
      Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F).
Spread fries on a baking tray lined with parchment paper in a single layer.
Bake for 35–40 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
    • Frying method:
Fry in hot oil (170–180°C) until golden and crisp. Drain on paper towels.
  4. Add Parmesan
While fries are hot, immediately sprinkle with grated Parmesan and chopped parsley. Toss gently so the cheese sticks and slightly melts.
  5. Serve
Serve hot with ketchup, garlic sauce, or mayonnaise.

⭐ Tips

  • Use finely grated Parmesan for better coating.
  • Add Parmesan in the last 5 minutes of baking for extra crunch.
  • For air fryer: cook at 200°C for 18–22 minutes, shaking halfway.
