Ingredients (2 servings)
- 4 slices sandwich bread
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, grated
- 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
- 1 small green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 small red chili or red bell pepper, sliced
- 2 tbsp ketchup or pizza sauce
- 1 tbsp butter or olive oil
- ½ tsp oregano
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- Salt to taste
- Optional: chili flakes, olives, sweetcorn
👩🍳 Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) or heat a pan on low.
- Lightly butter one side of each bread slice.
- Spread ketchup or pizza sauce on the other side.
- Sprinkle a layer of mozzarella cheese.
- Add onion, green pepper, and chili slices.
- Season with salt, pepper, and oregano.
- Add more cheese on top.
Cooking options:
- Oven: Bake 8–12 minutes until cheese melts and edges turn golden.
- Pan: Cover and cook on low heat 5–7 minutes.
- Air fryer: 180°C for 5–6 minutes.
