Savory Puff Pastry Rolls (Ham–Cheese Swirls)

Ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry
- 150–200 g ham (sliced)
- 150 g grated cheese (mozzarella, cheddar or gouda)
- 1 tomato, finely diced
- 2 tbsp cream cheese or mayonnaise
- 1–2 tbsp chopped parsley or green onions
- A pinch of salt & pepper
- 1 egg for brushing (optional)

Instructions
1. Prepare the filling
In a bowl mix:
- diced tomato
- grated cheese
- chopped herbs
- salt & pepper
You can add a bit of mayonnaise or cream cheese to help bind the filling.
2. Assemble
- Unroll the puff pastry.
- Spread a thin layer of cream cheese or mayo.
- Lay slices of ham evenly.
- Spread the cheese–tomato mixture over the ham.
- Roll the pastry tightly into a log.
- Place the roll in the freezer for 10 minutes (easier to slice).
3. Slice
Cut into slices about 2–3 cm thick (like in your picture).
4. Bake
Place slices on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
Bake at:
190°C (375°F) for 18–25 minutes
