Sun-Dried Tomato Ravioli Sauce with Cheese Ravioli
A rich, creamy, and tangy sun-dried tomato sauce paired perfectly with cheese ravioli. This dish combines the depth of sun-dried tomatoes with the comforting creaminess of the sauce, making it a quick and satisfying meal.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pack of cheese ravioli (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes (packed in oil, drained and chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh basil or parsley (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Cook the Ravioli: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the cheese ravioli according to the package instructions (usually around 4-5 minutes). Drain and set aside.
  2. Prepare the Sun-Dried Tomato Sauce: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, and sauté until softened (about 3 minutes).
  3. Add the Sun-Dried Tomatoes: Stir in the chopped sun-dried tomatoes, and cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing their flavors to infuse the oil.
  4. Make the Cream Sauce: Add the chicken or vegetable broth and bring it to a simmer. Reduce the heat and stir in the heavy cream. Let the sauce cook for about 5 minutes, allowing it to thicken slightly.
  5. Add Parmesan and Season: Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, dried basil, salt, and pepper. Continue to cook for 2-3 minutes until the cheese melts and the sauce becomes creamy.
  6. Combine Ravioli and Sauce: Gently toss the cooked ravioli into the skillet with the sun-dried tomato sauce. Stir carefully to coat the ravioli with the sauce.
  7. Serve: Plate the ravioli and garnish with fresh basil or parsley. Serve immediately and
