Million Dollar Spaghetti Casserole

Ingredients:

400 g (14 oz) spaghetti

500 g (1 lb) ground beef (or ground turkey/sausage)

1 medium onion, finely chopped

3 garlic cloves, minced

2 cups marinara or pasta sauce

2 tbsp tomato paste

1 tsp Italian seasoning (or oregano + basil)

Salt and black pepper, to taste

1 cup ricotta or cottage cheese (optional for creaminess)

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

½ cup grated parmesan cheese

2 tbsp olive oil

Fresh parsley or basil, chopped (for garnish)


🍳 Instructions:

  1. Cook the Pasta

Boil spaghetti in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  1. Prepare the Meat Sauce

Heat olive oil in a skillet.

Add onion and garlic, sauté until fragrant.

Add ground beef, cook until browned.

Stir in tomato paste, marinara sauce, and seasoning. Simmer for 10–15 minutes.

  1. Layer the Casserole

Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).

In a greased baking dish, layer half the spaghetti.

Spread half the meat sauce on top.

Add a layer of ricotta/cottage cheese (if using).

Sprinkle mozzarella + cheddar.

Repeat with remaining spaghetti, sauce, and cheeses.

Top with parmesan cheese.

  1. Bake

Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.

  1. Serve

Garnish with fresh parsley or basil.

Serve hot with garlic bread or a fresh salad.
